April Royan, M.A. CCC-A, originally from Chicago, Illinois,  is an Audiologist and the Medical Director and Owner of Decibels Audiology and Hearing Aid Center in Naples, FL. Ms. Royan received a Bachelor of Arts in Audiology from Illinois State University and a Master of Science in Audiology from the University of Illinois. She is a former Regional Audiology Training Manager for a major hearing aid manufacturer and was awarded the Outstanding Customer Service and Patient Satisfaction Award in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 from AMG, a national Audiology organization.  She has been recognized by Gulfshore Life Who’s Who in Health and Top Doctors publications. Ms. Royan was selected for the 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012 Best of Naples Awards in the Audiologists category.  Most recently, Decibels Audiology was a star winner of the Naples Daily News 10th Annual Southwest Florida Choice Awards for Best Hearing Aid Center.

Kristi Martin, M.S. CCC-A, originally from Marion, Indiana, is an Audiologist at Decibels Audiology and Hearing Aid Center in Naples, FL.  Martin received a Bachelor of Science in Audiology and Speech Sciences and a Master of Science in Audiology, both from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.  Martin has been an Audiologist for 29 years and has worked with Ear, Nose and Throat Physicians in Indiana, Kentucky and Nebraska.  She has worked as an Educational Audiologist for the Jefferson County Board of Education in Louisville, KY and Green Hills Area Education Agency in Council Bluffs, IA.  Martin was also an Audiology Field Trainer for major hearing aid manufacturer Sonic Innovations, which is now a partner of Oticon international. Martin is a specialized provider in the areas of diagnostic and educational audiology, aural rehabilitation, and hearing aid fitting.

Dr. Ann Rasmussen, Au.D. CCC-A, originally from San Francisco, CA, is a Doctor of Audiology in Naples, FL. Dr. Rasmussen earned a Bachelor of Arts from Regis University and Doctorate in Audiology from the University of South Florida. She was awarded the position of Research Fellow at University of South Florida in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, where she conducted speech-in-noise testing and analyses. Dr. Rasmussen has been nationally recognized for her work on speech understanding in noise, which was published by the Acoustical Society of America. She was honored with the Hillsborough County, Florida Outstanding Service Award. She has been recognized by the Sunshine State Seminar on Hearing for clinical implementation of the American Academy of Audiology guideline for audiologic management of the adult patient. She is a former Director of Audiology at offices of Ear, Nose & Throat physicians. As a top hearing doctor in the field of audiology, Dr. Rasmussen was the first approved licensed provider in Naples for an international Tinnitus Treatment device.  Dr. Rasmussen is a specialized provider of tinnitus treatment, aural rehabilitation, ear wax management, and hearing aid fitting and verification. Most recently, Decibels Audiology has earned recognition in Naples Daily News for excellence as a Hearing Aid and Tinnitus Treatment Center. Dr. Rasmussen is also able to hone her audiologic talents while taking care of her sister and daughter who both live with hearing loss.
