Reasons We Love Better Speech and Hearing Month
There are so many reasons to celebrate May as Better Speech and Hearing Month! Speech and hearing contribute to the overall human experience in so many ways! Additionally, our ability to hear impacts so many facets of health and wellness. Why, exactly, do we at Decibels Audiology and Hearing Aid Center love to celebrate Better Speech and Hearing Month? Here are just a few specific reasons:
- We get to help promote health and wellness through hearing during this month. Around the Southwest Florida area, we get to support activities related to speech and hearing during the month of May! And, we — of course — LOVE to do that!
- During Better Speech and Hearing Month, we get to encourage our patients to pursue total health through annual hearing tests and using their hearing devices to their full potential.
- Better speech and better hearing promote amazing relationships. And, as always, our desire is to build up our local community through better hearing, thereby resulting in fabulous relationships with others!

Why YOU Should Love Better Speech and Hearing Month
Why, exactly, should you love the month of May as much as we do? There are many around the country (and the world) who are not able to hear or speak properly AND do not have the resources to pursue better speech or better hearing. This impacts education, relationship, overall health and development, and many other areas of life. In Southwest Florida, we do have access to health services related to hearing loss and speech development. And, we recognize how blessed we are.
