We get a lot of questions about what the summer in Naples is like. Usually, the questions are accompanied by a contorted face and furrowed brow. Summer in Naples
There are so many things to love about summertime in Naples, Florida! Yes, the heat and humidity are bad. It’s over 90 degrees everyday, and the humidity makes constant sweating inevitable. Walking from the door of one’s house to the car is a cardiovascular activity. It basically requires a shower and a change of clothes. And oh yeah, there are tons of mosquitoes and frogs multiplying like crazy and taking temporary residence of our beautiful landscape.
However, summer has lots to recommend.
- The pace is much slower, and many seasonal residents head north for the summer. Though summer in Naples is busier than, let’s say, 10 years ago, it is still much more quiet than January through April. Restaurants, beaches, and errands are stress-free.
- Beach fishing is so fun! When it starts to rain, the inland waters get filled with more and more fresh water. Many fish head to the passes and beaches, making beach fishing an exciting summer activity.
- There are so many deals and activities. Southwest Florida has lots of fun activities during the summer months, AND lots of restaurant and hotel deals. It’s a great time to try new things and explore.
- You can get appointments easily. During the winter months, it is common to wait weeks and weeks to see doctors, dentists, and other healthcare professionals. Appointments are much easier to come by in the summer, making it a great time to schedule annual physicals, hearing tests, and eye exams.

So, what do the summer days hold for our Decibels Audiology and Hearing Aid Center team? Many of our audiologists and audiology assistants take vacations with their families. During the summer months, we clean, organized and prepare for the busy season, which typically starts at the end of September/beginning of August. However, we ALWAYS have our offices staffed and ready to go!
