Dr. Sarah Sesslar, Au.D

joined Decibels Audiology and Hearing Aid Center in the fall of 2015, bringing her passion for helping patients navigate their hearing challenges and improve their overall well-being. Originally from Ohio, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Hearing, Speech, and Language Sciences from Ohio University in 2009 and her Doctorate in Audiology from The Ohio State University in 2013. She completed her externship at Charleston Ear, Nose & Throat Associates in Charleston, South Carolina, where she continued as a Doctor of Audiology before making the move to Florida.

Dr. Sesslar finds great joy in working with patients to improve their hearing in all types of listening environments, helping them stay connected and engaged in life. She and her husband, Kyle, have embraced life in Southwest Florida, enjoying the sunshine, beach days, and cheering on Ohio State football. Their goldendoodle, Poppy, keeps them active, and now, as a proud mom to a one-year-old, Sarah is experiencing the excitement (and energy!) of parenthood firsthand.

Dr. Ava Rhodes, Au.D

Dr. Ava Rhodes, Au.D. is a Florida native with a passion for helping patients reconnect with the world through better hearing. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Central Florida in 2020 and completed her Doctorate in Audiology at the University of South Alabama in 2024.

Dedicated to improving her patients’ ability to communicate, Dr. Rhodes takes pride in providing compassionate, personalized care. Outside of work, she enjoys soaking up the Florida sunshine at the beach with her goldendoodle, Fez.

Dr. Brittany Colburn, Au.D

Dr. Brittany Colburn, Au.D, is a Naples, Florida, native who joined Decibels Audiology and Hearing Center in the summer of 2016. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Florida State University in 2013 and went on to receive her Doctorate in Audiology from Northeastern University in May of 2017.

Dr. Colburn is passionate about hearing health and takes pride in building strong relationships with her patients to ensure their unique hearing needs are met with personalized care. She and her husband, Sam, are loving life back in their hometown of Naples, where they enjoy spending time outdoors with their cockapoo, Howie. Life has become even more exciting with their toddler, Avery, keeping them on their toes—and in the spring of 2025, they welcomed their second child into the family!

Delani Stugart, Audiologist Assistant

Originally from Colorado, Delani moved to Florida with her family in 2017 and graduated from Bonita Springs High School in May 2022. She joined the Decibels team in November 2022 and earned her Audiology Assistant license in 2024. A lifelong volleyball player, she developed a passion for the sport at a young age and competed at a high level in club volleyball. Outside of work, she loves spending time outdoors, being with family and friends, and, most of all, spoiling her beloved dogs.

Jenni Stugart, Audiologist Assistant/General Manager

Jenni was born and raised in Colorado but moved to Florida in 2017 to escape the cold. She joined Decibels in 2020, earned her Audiology Assistant license in 2022, and now serves as office manager. With a background in business ownership, she has always been passionate about organization and helping others. Outside of work, Jenni loves spending time with her two grown children, attending live concerts, and capturing landscapes through photography. A devoted animal lover, she enjoys life with her yellow lab, Benelli, English bulldog, Beretta, French bulldog, Indie, and bearded dragon, Daisy.
