“I’m a freshman in college and I need the most advanced technology available to support my hearing loss, as well as keep up with my schoolwork and sporting events. With the newest, top of the line technology, I can now join my family conversations! I can hear my coaches more clearly when they instruct on the basketball and volleyball court. The devices are so comfortable, I always forget they are in. The staff at Decibels Audiology always makes me feel welcome, and I never feel badly about calling them if I need something. I love talking to everyone, and they make me feel so comfortable. Last summer, I attended a camp and took college courses alongside one hundred other hearing impaired students. Some are isolated completely and use sign language exclusively, and some participate in the hearing world. The experience gave me a new
perspective on hearing loss. I view my hearing loss as a gift –something that sets me apart. The challenges that I experience have made me the person I am today. I am so thankful for Decibels Audiology and Hearing Aid Center – their support has meant so much to me
